FC Copenhagen vs Dortmund

FC Copenhagen welcome Dortmund to the Parken Stadium for MD3 in the Champions League.

The hosts successfully qualified for the tournament, remaining unbeaten, however, they suffered their first UCL defeat last time out going down 2-0 to Qarabag. Despite the outcome, they shouldn't be too despondent as very few sides tend to thrive in Azerbaijan and it's incredibly tough place to visit on a weekday evening.

In their previous UCL game at this venue, they managed to hold Leverkusen to a 2-2 draw and they welcome another Bundesliga side to the Danish capital on Tuesday night. With just one point from their first two matches and games against Spurs and Napoli to come, they will see this as an opportunity to get some points on the board.

They played on Friday night to give them some breathing room for this tie, however, that game may have come too soon for many of their internationals, who struggled off the short break, losing 3-1 to Silkeborg at JSYK Park.

They look good going forward, however, they are struggling to keep clean sheets and that will be music to the ears of Dortmund fans.

The visitors were defeated in Der Klassiker at the weekend, managing just a single shot on target. That was their first Bundesliga defeat of the season and they have had 24 hours less rest than their opponents here.

They're unbeaten in the UCL so far, having been involved in some topsy-turvy contests. They drew 4-4 at the Juventus Stadium before easing past Athletic Bilbao on MD2. They have plenty of quality in the final third and should be able to exploit Copenhagen's susceptible backline.

They conceded 19 shots to Juventus in their last away fixture and coming off the back of a short rest, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them concede here too.
