Newcastle vs Bradford

Back BTTS in the EFL Cup tie at St. James' Park
Newcastle take on Bradford in the third round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
Newcastle's season has been far from plain sailing so far, with Eddie Howe's men failing to score in four of their six PL matches and drawing yet another blank (and just a single shot on target) at Bournemouth at the weekend.
Howe will see this contest as a chance to build some momentum and kickstart his side's campaign. They've had a busy schedule, hosting Barcelona last midweek and then travelling all the way to Dorset on Sunday afternoon.
They have some injury concerns with Fabian Schar picking up a knock and Yoann Wissa not fit enough to start this one. Nevertheless, they will still name a strong XI with the likes of Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and Anthony Elanga all likely to play some part in this clash.
Bradford are dangerous opponents. They sit top of League One with confidence flowing through their veins, and they have already eliminated two Championship opponents from the competition. Graham Alexander's side can score goals and have numerous creative players who are flourishing in the third tier.
Newcastle's defensive record has been solid; however, with changes expected to their XI, Bradford will look to take full advantage. I'm expecting a high-scoring and entertaining 90 minutes on Tyneside.
