Real Madrid vs Dortmund

Back Los Blancos to end Dortmund's unbeaten run

Both Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund remain unbeaten in the Club World Cup so far, and they will meet in East Rutherford on Saturday night. A place in the semi-final is up for grabs with either PSG or Bayern awaiting the winner.
Real Madrid completely dominated against Juventus last time out, and since their shock 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal, they have barely put a foot wrong. They are boosted by the return of Kylian Mbappe, who could be fit enough to start this content. Furthermore, the form of Gonzalo Garcia is yet another positive for new boss Xabi Alonso, who is still adapting to life at the Bernabeu.
The Spanish side has plenty of firepower, and with Alonso just four matches into his tenure, the evolution is expected to continue. They’ve looked slick and well-oiled, and with the return of Mbappe, they should be even stronger in the final third.
Dortmund are in deceptively good form after ending the Bundesliga campaign very strongly. They won seven of their last eight domestic fixtures and have been victorious in each of their last three at this tournament. Nico Kovac’s side is purring with the likes of Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi leading the charge.
One slight concern is that they have given up plenty of chances in their recent encounters and looked slightly weaker down the right-hand side. Furthermore, Jobe Bellingham will miss this clash through suspension. Dortmund should certainly make this very interesting, but they lack the control of their opponents and are likely to come up short.
Real Madrid have an incredible record in this competition, winning 16 times so far, and they will fancy their chances of going all the way under their exciting new coach.
