Swansea vs Nottingham Forest

Back a goal-heavy game in South Wales

Swansea host Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night in front of the TV cameras.
Swansea have made an excellent start to the season in the Championship, although they will have been disappointed to twice let a one-goal lead slip against struggling Hull at the weekend. Last season, the Welsh outfit struggled for goals, yet they've looked far more efficient going forward and have netted four times across their last two fixtures.
Alan Sheehan is likely to make changes for this game as he has done in the previous two rounds of the competition. Although they've made it through to this stage, they have yet to keep a clean sheet despite facing two lower-ranked opponents and requiring penalties in the previous round.
Ange Postecoglou was always unlikely to upend Arsenal at the weekend, and Forest predictably slumped to a 3-0 defeat in the former Spurs boss's first game in charge. He hasn't had much time on the training ground with his squad; however, he is likely to make changes with Morgan Gibbs White, Elliott Anderson and Chris Wood all expected to be rested for this midweek contest.
Forest has plenty of quality in reserve, and many of their summer signings will get an opportunity to introduce themselves to the fans here.
Even with little time to stamp his authority of his squad, Ange will urge his side to play on the front foot and that should result in an open-ended and entertaining contest. Furthermore, neither side will fancy the prospect of a penalty shoot-out, so both teams are likely to go for broke in the final ten minutes of this contest.
